Vatra is an urban locality within Chișinău municipality, under the jurisdiction of Buiucani sector. Located about 6 km from the capital, the town covers an area of about 8 km² and is crossed by the R1/E52 national road. Vatra was granted town status in the first half of the 1990s. The town has a kindergarten and nursery, a lyceum teaching in Romanian and Russian, and a polyclinic. Near the town there are landscaped recreation areas on the shore of the Ghidighici Reservoir.
Vatra Town Hall continues its work to improve conditions for the youngest residents of our town.
Recently, the surfacing of two playgrounds at Kindergarten No. 193 was replaced.
Investment in children’s infrastructure remains a priority for the local administration, and step by step we continue to improve conditions in Vatra’s institutions.
